Oh! So good! 😊 I’m ready to read the rest of it now!!! Love the idea of the afterlife and jumping right over that moment of death…! Intriging - will he recall the life he led or stay in heavenly bliss?
Thank you, Audrey. Bob's got a lot of unfinished business on Earth, an angel trying to drag him back to heaven. Besides - when he falls to earth via hell, he inadvertently brings something dark along with him... it's going to be a while before the next part's ready to read, but thanks for the encouragement!
Do you know @Adam Rockwell ? I just finished his book : “the unexpected exorcist” - very amusing book- and similar ideas with demons and such hanging around on earth…
Absolutely love it! ❤️ It’s got humour, which makes me think of Master and Margarita. And I am huge fan of Alphonse Mucha so I really like that too! I’d definitely read on. Mine wasn’t shortlisted though I was damn proud of it. Maybe next year 😁
Oohhh… dark burlesque… a novel about a novel that can never be published (by the dark forces in control… of publishing). Yup. I think this is one for me!
Mucha is a hidden figure in the work of many (not least Gauguin - you can just see him in a collage on one of my posts). A visit to Prague to see the Slav Epic is a long-delayed fixture on my bucket list.
And, your entry? Certainly hope you do well next year, but why not post the current version, and let us all see how brilliant it is? Looking forward to that.
I love it! What an inticing style! The beginning draws you in, but as soon as you get to the clapping and heavenly choir, that's it, you're totally hooked. I'm sold on reading the rest!
Thank you! I've got some work to do before the rest is in a fit state to be read... but with all the positive feedback, I've got the motivation to do it!
