Thank you so, so much. You've caught me out, of course (I was just saying, on the other thread, how unpublished I am...), but this is my only brush with the world of publishing so far, and I am still rather proud of it.

You should absolutely be proud of it. I followed the link and checked out the story, wonderfully weird and atmospheric.

Excellent story. Tense, atmospheric (the coldness!), very interesting and - best of all - unsettling. A story that stays with you.

Praise indeed. The coldness is totally from the heart - Norway in February, minus ten in Norfjell. We modern metropolitan types go there for skiing and it's all fun, but wander around in your city jeans with a beer in your hand, away from the chalet in search of the stars, and it dawns on you very quickly that the universe is a very cold place indeed. Five minutes trudging back again was enough to regret my choice of clothing, and start the thought process that led to Munch's Piano.

Thank you, Liz!

You're not kidding. Absolutely fantastic to see you here. (Just let me say: Karen is not only an unfairly talented writer but an ace editor and an all-round good egg. I sometimes don't know how lucky I am to have friends like this.)
